1. Why there is no Sky-Protect for my vehicle?

We always try to offer a large number of vehicle types, which can be equipped with a Sky- Protect Car Body Protection. The model selection is extended from time to time. For this purpose, simply subscribe our Newsletter. There are vehicles, in the case of which a Sky- Protect magnetic does not function due to technical reasons since the car body is of aluminum or plastic. In these cases, you can however use our Sky-protect adhesive with adhesive technology. If you do not find any Sky-Protect in original in our Online-Shop for your vehicle, then you can use our Sky-Protect universal for these cases and map your own Sky-Protect to the vehicle.

2. Can Sky- Protect damage my paint?

If properly handled, no. (cf. all see the operation instructions for this purpose) Stick the pads once to the car body, it is possible only with outermost impact of force, these are to be pulled above the body work of the vehicle.

3. Should I drive with Sky- Protect?

No! Sky- Protect is developed exclusively for the standing vehicle. Even if Sky- Protect would sustain strong air flow, then according to STVO, it is not permitted to take part in the traffic with Sky- Protect.

4. Can I use my Sky- Protect also for another kind of protection?

Yes, that is possible. Both products are primarily developed for protection from hail and are also best suitable for protection from damages, which can arise at the parts of the metal plates through gum, firework or bigger nuts or chestnuts.

5. What about the unprotected parts such as mudguard and doors?

With its design, Sky-Protect is based on the principle of loss frequency (probability) in vehicles. Most of the damages arise in the mentioned “Weichblechteilen” (parts of the metal sheets) of the car body. These are the roof and the bonnet and if required the trunk lid. Most of the times the hail is strong enough to specially damage these metal sheet areas. The mudguard extension or the car body curvature, along A, B and C- Pillars, are car-body related substantially laid out and either an external hailstone or hail should come in 45° angel from the side. These combinations are however insignificant with respect to the damages and frequency, against the background of the advantage of Sky-Protect, (Time, Handling).

6. Why can I use only Sky-Protect adhesive repeatedly?

Since the pads are connected with a self-adhesive foil, which would be able to absorb dust particles during each application and this is dependent on the degree of pollution of the parts of car body. Sky-protect adhesive should be especially used in case of surprise hail. Hailstones mostly occur regionally in the months of summer. In the statistical average, Sky-Protect adhesive will be required probably once or twice in a year. Here the following consideration should be made. The reasonable purchase price for this effective product divided by approx. 6 applications shows that one can avoid damages up to 3000 Euro for small financial impacts.
