Technical Information

Sky-Protect consist of two to three protection pads, (depending on the vehicle model)!
A Sky-Protect magnetic protection pad weighs approx. 2500-4000 gr.
Ein Sky-Protect adhesive protection pad weighs approx. 500-1000 gr.
PE- Foam is waterproof, physically networked and extensively fire-resistant, after free-flame-retardant, according to DIN 4102-B2, as well as provides resistant against environmental influences. The Foam is UV-Resistant and weather proof.

From a temperature of approx. 0° Celsius, the PE-Foam is highly elastic so that the surface contours of the car body are well-accepted.

The application temperature is 0-80° Celsius.
The magnet foil is approx. 0,75mm thick and is physically networked with specially pre-treated PE-Foam.
The magnet side is coated with a paint protection. The waste can be disposed with the normal domestic waste corresponding to the local waste provisions.

In case of Sky-Protect adhesive, the back side is provided with a separator, which is carefully removed before applying Sky-Protect.

The adhesive reacts paint-friendly and does not leave any residuals. Please note that Sky-Protect is indeed customized in original for the bonnet and roof, however, the pads generally have smaller measures than expected for the first appearance. This has a technical and practical background:

The technical reason is that both product lines are customized during production in the same masses. This denotes that the self-adhesive (adhesive) backing must be absolutely aligned to the (magnetic) , since the magnet foil should in no means have a overhang, because otherwise, the adhesive force would be affected. In addition, due to practical reasons, it is necessary that the pads with the magnet foil should find your place. 

However, this functions only if there are corresponding gap when placed, (for example within the roof railing area).
